Metadata:

Map of mean aboveground carbon density (ACD) at a resolution of one hectare for 1,713,088 hectares of tropical forest in southern Madagascar. Mapping units are metric tons (megagrams or Mg) of carbon per hectare.  A map data value of -9999 indicates missing data.  The method applied combined airborne LiDAR, field plot inventory, and satellite data in a regional stratification approach reported by Asner et al. (2012; below).  This map represents all woody vegetation with diameter at breast height (DBH) estimated in nested classes during field calibration.  The map represents the vegetation as imaged in 2010.

The data are provided as a GeoTIFF format (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GeoTIFF), and the data and the reference PDF(s) are compressed as a single, self-extracting 7Zip (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/7-Zip) file.  When prompted, the password is "caodata" (without quotes).
